Transcripts

Official Transcript Requests

  • Students are encouraged to order their transcripts through the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) if possible as this is the fastest mode of delivery, and electronic transcripts are preferred by most recipients.
  • If you have a hold preventing transcript release on your record, please contact the corresponding department for next steps:
    • If you have the ISSO Orientation Required hold on your account, contact the International Students and Scholars Office at (248) 370-3358 or [email protected].
    • If you have the Registrar- Records hold, please contact the Office of the Registrar at (248) 370-3450 or [email protected].
    • If you have a Financial hold on your account, contact the Student Business Services Billing and Collections Team at (248) 370-4624 or [email protected].
    • You may check any holds on MySAIL by clicking on 'Register for Classes' then 'Prepare for Registration' and by selecting a term.

To inquire on how to resolve your holds, please contact the corresponding office.

Current Students (Official Paper Transcript via MySail)

  • Cost: Free
  • Processing Time: Within 2 business days
  • Sent via USPS First Class (delays can occur)
  • Supplemental Documents unable to be attached to request

Current/Previous Students attending since 1987 (Official Electronic Transcript via National Student Clearinghouse)

  • Cost: $2.90/$3.90 based on recipient
  • Processing Time: Almost immediately
  • Sent Electronically
  • Supplemental Documents able to be attached to request

Students attending prior to 1987/or were in a Continuing Education (PACE) program  (email [email protected] for requests)

  • Cost: Free 
  • Processing Time: Pre 1987- Within 2 business days
  • Processing Time: PACE- Within 10 business days
  • Sent via USPS First Class (delays can occur)
  • Supplemental Documents able to be attached to request

Unofficial Transcript Requests

Current Students (Unofficial Paper Transcript via MySAIL)

  • Cost: Free
  • Processing Time: Instantly
  1. Log into your MySAIL account using your NetID/password (Help)
  2. Select "View Transcript"
  3. Select "Transcript Level" and "Transcript Type"
